1. The cultural and co-curricular activities of the school are conducted through the House System provided by the school authorities in accordance with the educational method of Don Bosco and as in other Don Bosco Schools. No other sort of association or union will be allowed. The House System provides ample opportunities for an all round education and development of the students. Hence all the students are urged to take active part in it.
  2. Don Bosco School is owned and run by the Catholic Religious Community. No disrespect should be shown to articles and images of religion and worship proper to that religious group.
  3. No act of indiscipline, insubordination, interference in the administration, disrespect to any teacher, disrespect to any religion or community by any student shall be 26 tolerated and those found guilty may even be expelled from the school.
  4. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience, conduct injurious to the moral tone of the school justifies dismissal at any time of the year, unless a student after having been admonished, corrects himself/ herself. One whose sickness is liable to be injurious to other students may be asked to discontinue attending the class.
  5. The school accepts no responsibility if through failure in wearing the School Uniform or failure in bringing books to class or signature of parents on remarks written by teacher in the Report Book or on the Absence Record in the hand book, etc. the pupils are obliged to return home during the class hours. The school will not be responsible if anything untoward happens when a student is sent home for the above reasons. The school cannot be held responsible for accidents, small or serious, to pupils during their stay in the school or while taking part in sports, co-curricular activities within or outside the school premises.
  6. Parents and Guardians are requested to make proper arrangements to collect the children/wards immediately after the school hours. Though proper care will be taken to ensure the safety of the children /wards, the school cannot be held responsible if the student leaves the school campus on his/her own.
  7. The answer scripts of the particular subject of anyone using unfair means in examination will not be evaluated. Students have to bring their parents to sign the undertaking and continue writing the remaining exams. If students are caught for the second time, they will be given TC on the spot with no further discussion.
  8. Any misbehavior of a serious nature that has become public knowledge is liable to bring about suspension or dismissal, even though it took place off the school premises.
  9. Any damage done to the school property must be made good by the pupils.
  10. No magazines, newspapers or books other than school books may be brought into the school without permission of the principal. Parcels and letters are subject to inspection.
  11. Don Bosco School is a tobacco free school. If students are found with tobacco products, they will be suspended for two weeks within which parents have to come to the school to sign the undertaking. If students are caught for the second time, they will be suspended and they will come only for the final exams. After the exams, they will be given TC. (Any items with a statutory warning written on it: “Consumption of …………… is injurious to health” will be considered as tobacco products.
  12. Pupils who fail badly in the final examination may be asked to leave the school (as being either unwilling or unable to study). In no case, however, will a student be allowed to repeat the same class for a third time.
  13. For the well being and smooth running of the school the authorities may ask the parents/guardians to withdraw their child/ward from the school without assigning any reason.
  14. Stealing and forging signatures are serious faults; stern action or even suspension/dismissal could be the consequence. If anyone is caught forging signature, the student concerned will be allowed to attend class only after the parents/guardians have come to the school to sign the undertaking.
  15. Parents / Guardians cannot dictate to the school authorities as the authorities have the right to say on what condition they will admit or retain the pupils in the institution.
  16. No school business will be transacted during holidays and no school business will be transacted after the school hours
  17. Those students indulging in alcoholic drinks, smoking and chewing pan, etc in any form may be suspended or dismissed. Parents will be informed of the step but they may not be consulted. Anyone involved in substance abuse in any form will be asked to discontinue from the school.
  18. Any kind of dispute within children or between the children and staff shall be sorted out by the Principal or the committee authorized by the principal. If the Principal is not in a position to solve the problem, it shall be settled by the School Managing Board; and the decision of the school managing board shall be final.
  19. No students shall have any kind of argument/ fight in the premises of the school tarnishing the reputation of the school. No student shall cause any argument or lay hand upon any teacher outside the institution for misunderstanding arising inside the campus in course of maintaining discipline enforced by the institution.
  20. Students who defame school’s name or teacher’s name on the social media will be accepted to the school only after publishing an apology in the newspaper; if repeated, expulsion will be given.
  21. The school will not be responsible for any untoward incident in the course of picnic or study tours or extramural activities organized in groups or by associations.
